9 January - Jost Van Dyke for 2 Days anchored off Soggy Dollar
11 January- Culebra for 3 Days Then Return St Thomas
11 January- Culebra for Weekend Then Return St Thomas
Sailing...it's about getting there..the trip itself becomes an adventure..
On C Nut We are always avoiding the crowded everyone goes to spots and going to the
more pristine out of the way places that are not trampled by the herd.....
Winter 2013-2014 Season
C Nut Will be in the Caribbean Sailing around all Winter. Mostly around the VI's
and Culebra with a few down island trips as well.
So if you have some vacation time inquire about where we are sailing. These will be
Shared Expenses Trips
and always to the more pristine places. C Nut is Probably the one of the only sailboats
that EVER stops to snorkel places like Sail Rock between Culebra and St Thomas and we
use anchorages on day trips almost no one else uses. We like to lose the crowd.. totally.
And if you have a desire to see what OCEAN BLUE WATER sailing is really
about sometimes we just like to sail north
into the open Atlantic ocean for several hours.
The fishing is Much better.. we even hooked a Marlin once.
Or if you are less adventerous and simply want to spend a
night anchored off Honeymoon Beach Water Island St Thomas that is possible as well.
Summer 2014 PLAN
Plan is to sail C Nut South again with the Goal being Brasil and the AMAZON River
while the winds are very light and the northbound current is at a minimum.
BUT Since this is a long trip and Crew might be impossible to find the current goal
is Bartica in Guyana by way of Barbados, The plan is island hop to Martinique and then
do an overnight to Barbados. Then on an east or NE wind drop down the 3 days to Guyuana.
After arriving in Guyana it is quite easy to drop down to the Amazon River Overland by plane and bus to
the city of Manaus which is a major Hub with River Boats trips up and down the Amazon, Jungle tours
and flights to any other city in Brasil.
This is a
Shared Expenses Trip
and the adventure of a lifetime.
If you wish to go on just the island hoping part that is a possibility.
NOTE: AMERICANS NEED A VISA FOR BRASIL! BRASILIEROS DO NOT NEED VISAS FOR MANY OF THE ISLANDS
